Educational Testing and Measurement Classroom Application and Practice Fifth Edition Tom Kubiszyn, American Psychological Association Gary Borich, University of Texas at Austin The overall quality of the text on a scale of 1 to 5 is a 5. I am currently using the fourth edition and the fifth looks to be even better because it is more current and complete, particularly in the areas of performance and portfolio assessment and marking. Dr. Charles W. Good West Chester University I have enjoyed using different editions of this text to teach a course in measurements and testing over the years. This new edition, in my opinion, presents the same essentials (absolutely needed), as well as new insights and material adapted to testing/measurements in the 90s. Dr. Claire Rondeau Barrett Seton Hall University Designed to engage and inform, the fifth edition of this successful text retains the jargon–free, conversational style that has been the key to its success. New coverage includes additions to the chapters on marking and grading, added information on standardized testing, evaluating the special learner in the regular classroom, and the use of personal computers for measurement purposes. The chapter on performance, portfolio, and authentic assessment completely reflects current trends.
