The group was constituted in 1942 when the RAF's Eagle Squadrons, made up of American volunteers who had fought for Britain during the darkest hours of 1940-41. The unit was transferred back to the Air Corps after the attack at Pearl Harbor and continued combat operations through the end of the war. Good copy of the first edition in a very good dust jacket. The book is an ex-library book from the Caroline County Public Library. The card hold has been ripped out, however, there are no call letters anywhere on the spine. 266 pages.
