To Pineda succeeded Delpino, who likewise undertook to compile a better Spanish and 'english Dictionary than had hitherto appeared. It must he confessed, that, with all his faults, he took the trouble of ad justing the orthography of the Spanish part, after the manner of the Spanish Academicians; and, in his preface, he justly blamed Pineda for not conforming to their orthography.
