Excerpt from Der Zweck im Recht, Vol. 1

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a profound exploration of the purpose, a concept that pervades all of human action and which the author places as the driving force behind the evolution of the law. The author argues that actions labeled "unmotivated" are in fact driven by purposes that might not always be immediately apparent to the actor. The author undertakes a philosophical project to define the concept of a purpose. Demonstrating its centrality to human existence, the author then details the history of the purpose as it evolved alongside humanity's legal systems. By viewing law through the lens of purpose, the author opens up a new understanding of legal history and provides compelling insights into the nature of jurisprudence.
