Synopsis

Private Investigator, Sonoma (Sonny) Whittington, finds herself entangled in a web of deceit and danger when she takes on a seemingly routine case for the enigmatic businesswoman, Janine Thomlinson. Initially tasked with investigating Janine's husband's suspected affair, Sony's case takes an unexpected turn when Janine is involved in a suspicious accident, leaving her hospitalised for several days. As Sonny delves deeper into the case, she discovers that the Thomlinson mansion holds secrets far darker than a simple affair. Strange incidents begin to occur there. A security guard is drugged and surveillance footage is tampered with, pointing to the presence of an intruder in the mansion. Janine's financial auditor disappears amid signs of a brutal struggle, and Janine's marriage is under a microscope. When Sonny intensifies her investigation, she becomes the target of a deadly assailant and barely escapes with her life. As the pieces fall into place, Sonny realises she is racing against time to save her client. Her determination and resourcefulness are tested as she fights to uncover the truth and save her client.

Layers of Deception weaves an intricate tapestry of suspense, danger, and intrigue, as it follows Sonny Whittington on her relentless pursuit of justice in a world where secrets lurk around every corner and danger lies in the shadows.
