In his second book, Between Me and Dad: A Journey Through Forgiveness to Freedom, Charles Holt captivates us with tender stories that speak to the gift of relationship and its inevitable influence on the way we live our life. Through personal accounts with his father as a young man growing up in the South, interwoven with some of the most difficult times of his own, Charles sets the stage for a showdown with self-realization. He chronicles how a conscious practice of courage, integrity, compassion, deep listening, and sincere forgiveness healed the pain of deep disappointment and emotional wounds of dysfunctional communication and misunderstanding, eventually leading to a path of reconciliation, healing, and freedom for him and his dad.
