Jonathan Block has been writing and publishing poetry for over 35 years. The poems in Another Time Another Place were written as part of a nearly year-long experiment that focused on micropoetry; shorter poems (less than 140 characters, to be exact) that were all written in 2012. About 300 poems were written in close to as many days. One micropoem each day was posted on Twitter, although many of the poems were not written the same day they appeared online for the sake of editing. This book contains a large selection of these poems, which appear in roughly chronological order.
Strumming the sunrise
unnoticed behind silver
skies lost birds scatter
damp leaves underfoot
