Synopsis
A major visual exploration of the surreal art of Max Ernst, this monograph invites the reader to enter the colourful and sometimes menacing world of the artist. Designed to offer a fresh and stimulating look at Ernst's oeuvre. it represents and discusses the complete spectrum of his styles, from the early Expressionist-influenced paintings to the Dada and the magnificent, romantic Surrealist canvases. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 96 pgs., incl. 41 b/w illustrations and 40 pgs. of colour reproductions. Very good, clean, unmarked copy with minimal shelf wear. Black cloth binding has a few minor marks, but silver lettering is clear and bright. Dust jacket is intact, but it is age-toned and has significant rubbing of the gloss, esp. on the back, and some edge scuffing, including a small tear on the top back edge.
