The point is, and I learned this a long time ago before I could let other things into my life to have the opportunity and the chance to play hockey, anywhere at anytime meant the world to me. To be playing the game with my friends on the ice, in a parking lot or in someone's backyard or basement whether it was in the dead of winter or on a warm summer's night, it made me feel alive and it gave me the idea that I could do anything if I put my my mind to it and worked hard enough. About the Author
Howard Shapiro lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and two sons. He has written three children?s books with the fourth, Hockey Player For Life, coming out in October, 2008. His first three books (Hanukkah Counts Too!, Destructo Boy & Spillerella?We Are Who We Are! and Hockey Days), combined, have sold over 3,500 copies. He has received positive reviews in The Canadian Jewish News, Pittsburgh Magazine and The Hockey News.
