Richard Powell is a graying redneck from the Canadian province of Alberta. An English teacher in junior high and middle schools since the 1970?s ? really that is just the way he has paid his bills ? Luckily he loves kids and gets along well with all but the lowest of the bottom feeders in society ? So the teaching has been a thirty-five-year love affair. Mostly. His real passion however is big game hunting and in that end he has travelled and hunted extensively in Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Bolivia, Uruguay, Alaska, Montana, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, and Australia. On these journeys he has had many misadventures and rather than keeping these sorry happenings to himself, he documents them so that chances are good that if a person reads one of his books?he?ll get a hug or two ?People do care.Richard is married to Margaret and has two children, Alex and Shane. Two miniature schnauzers Rowdy and Snazzie ? a herd of buffalo in Saskatchewan ? and a little hunting camp north of Windhoek in Namibia.Whether you read one of his books or share a campfire with him?there will be lots of laughter. I hope that you can do both.
