His life as an Afro-American, growing up in the South duringthe era of Segregation and during theGreat Depression did have a greatinfluence on his writing.

Charles Henry Harrison has alwayshad an interest in poetry, but never hadthe time until he retired. He was born andraised on a farm near a village inNorthern Virginia, located at the foothillsof the Blue Ridge Mountains. He has aBachelor Science Degree and a MedicalDegree.
