About the Author

Mr. Harper is the author of eight novels; a political memoir Unintended Consequences; and a personal memoir, An Enchanted Valley. He holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the Ecole des Sciences Politiques in Paris. He served as a career American diplomat in Austria, Poland, Turkey, Spain, East Germany and West Berlin and a tour in public relations in the Pentagon.
