Clay N. Wells was able to become a doctor because LSU Medical School in New Orleans did not charge tuition to preacher?s kids. ?The US Navy supported me there, and I became an OB/GYN specialist. They had me pay back by being the only doctor for a heavy cruiser and four destroyers and then being a doctor at then several Navy bases all over the USA.?
