About the Author

Tim Zimmerman has more than a decade of experience in local area wireless data communications contributing to the international wireless community as an author and speaker. He?s served in marketing, product management and executive capacities at various wireless and advanced technology companies. He has contributed to the industry as part of the IEEE 802.11 working group and as part of the founding team for WLANA (Wireless LAN Alliance) and WLIF (Wireless LAN Interoperability Forum). He has undergraduate degrees in physics and computer science from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA, and a master?s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. Tim, his wife, Trisha and their two daughters reside in Charlotte, NC.
