About the Author

I have been involved in various aspects of media and computer technology for many years. In 1990 I received a B.S. in Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have worked as a computer end user consultant and in 1992 I started a business making and selling radio's that pick up special FM sideband transmissions (mostly for radio reading services for the blind). I have worked on computer projects at various companies. I have had a life long love affair with both radio and computers and have always been fascinated with the intersection of the MIS/Computer world and entertainment. I write a book to bridge the gap between techies and the layman, explaining the barrage of new media technology in simple language.
