At the time SKIN DEEP was conceived and written, Larry R. Leichter, M.D., was an actively practicing gastroenterologist in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines and North Miami, Florida. He has since retired from the practice of medicine. Homer L. Marquit, M.D., continues to practice pediatrics and adolescent medicine in south Broward County, Florida.
