Synopsis

New York Times bestselling author Jillian Lauren's personal, surprising account of what it's like to confront and interview Samuel Little, the most prolific serial killer in history.

Jillian Lauren had no idea what she was getting into. A New York Times bestselling author of two memoirs and a novel, she thought she was just researching her next book. Then a chance conversation turned into an investigation, and then an obsession.

Lauren was first introduced to the case by LAPD homicide detective Mitzi Roberts, who put Samuel Little, the now 79-year-old serial killer who murdered approximately 90 women over six decades, behind bars for killing three women in Los Angeles. Roberts suspected Little of many more murders, cold cases that she didn't have enough evidence (or jurisdiction) to prove. After doing more digging and exchanging letters with Little for months, Lauren finally got her first face-to-face meeting with him, and in the hours of interviews that followed, Little confessed to dozens of murders for the first time. Visit after visit, Little gave Lauren a window into the psyche of a serial killer, which the book will reveal, along with the story of his largely forgotten victims, including the four that survived.

Harrowing, personal, and extraordinarily adept at giving Little's victims a voice for the first time, this is a truly unforgettable read.
