origin of the story
In 1982 I made up my first "tooth" story for a first grade kid in Fort Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan. The kid had all 4 front teeth missing. I kept telling versions of it for 15 years till it finally got published. But it's real origin may be the lady on the bus who reached over and yanked out my loose tooth when I was 6 years old. She Said, "There, doesn't that feel better" and then she handed me my bloody tooth. And it didn't feel better. I had enjoyed having a loose tooth to play with.
