A funny story that helps beginning readers build math skills
Because I always struggled with arithmetic when I was a kid, I wanted to write a story that would make learning math concepts fun. In CATS ADD UP!, ten mischievous cats help beginning readers practice their addition and subtraction skills while enjoying a funny story. I love the illustrations by Marcy Dunn Ramsey, because they are warm, cheerful and funny. The book also includes follow-up activities from award-winning math educator, Marilyn Burns, which give parents and teachers ideas for additional learning when reading the story together. I hope kids will have as much fun reading CATS ADD UP! as I had writing it!
