Synopsis
Six sheep * from being sleepy to go trick or treating on a Halloween night. They encounter gaggles, warrens, herds, and more as they tiptoe through the shadowy night only to end up with all their friends at a Halloween party. Lots of rhythm and rhyme. A tongue-twisting, read-aloud Halloween story that even your toddler can handle, Six Creepy Sheep is one in the series of Six Sleepy Sheep books. The book follows the tale of six sheep who go out for some spooky trick-or-treating fun, but are scared at every turn and with every noise. The use of alliteration helps give a poetic slant to the text, and the phrase, "Then, on little sheep feet, six creepy sheep went a-haunting" is repeated with each sheep disappearance, allowing the reader to have an idea of what will happen next (making it less scary). You will laugh at the silliness of the sheep.
