Synopsis
When the passenger liner "City of Benares" sailed from Liverpool in September 1940, she was carrying 90 evacuee children from Britain. Four days later she was sunk by a German U-boat with the loss of 256 lives, including 83 of the evacuee children. This book recreates what happened.
