Linear circuit design using op-amps is partly an art.
Although the technology has advanced hugely since my book was published in 1981, the basic techiniques of circuit design using op-amps have not changed significantly. My book is a thorough review of these methods, and many of the amplifiers cited are still very popular and much used. There is still a lot of useful information in the book which can only be gained by experience, and it is common for the 'feel' of a circuit to influence the implementation, hence my comment that it is partly art, though based on informed intuition.
