The Authors
Dr Michael Cox
was Chairman of the Standing Advisory Committee for Chemistry for a major Examining Board, a member of the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority 18+ Chemistry Committee, and Chairman of the interboard committee responsible for the A-level Chemistry Common Core. He was formerly Senior Teacher and Head of Chemistry at Poole Grammar School and is the author of several Chemistry textbooks, plus the Longman A-level Study Guide- Chemistry and co-author of Longman Exam Practice Kit- A-level Chemistry.
Philip Barratt
is Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a former Head of Chemistry at St. Bees School, Cumbria. He is currently a Principal Moderator of Coursework and a Chief Examiner for Modular A-level Chemistry examinations. He is an OFSTED-trained inspector of Secondary Science, and an experienced teacher, and is also co-author of Longman Exam Practice Kit- A-level Chemistry.
