This new book is the guide to the key benchmark standard for implementing a business continuity management (BCM) system. This handbook provides a strategic overview of the key steps that organizations should take to ensure that the risks of catastrophic failure are proactively minimized. This book examines how to design a disaster and emergency management system for any organization, from hospitals, to the police force, to airline companies. It is written as a guide for anyone responsible for disaster and emergency management within their organization. The systems described in this book are applicable to any organization, whether it is a hospital managing the outbreak of C Difficile, a bank managing a run on its credit, or a chemical company managing an incident that could seriously affect its reputation.
