Synopsis

Most of us have been in small groups that are OK. Some of us have been in groups that have been transformational and have changed our lives. God has designed us to grow through the context of relationships. Relationships that lead to spiritual growth are hard to come by. Most of our churches are helping us try to connect relationally in order to grow spiritually through various iterations of small groups. Few of our churches and few of us know what in the world that looks like. What aspects of leading a group actually result in life change for the people in the group? After spending a decade studying different small group models and approaches, as well as comparing hundreds of groups while leading one of the largest small group ministries in the country at North Point Community Church, this book dissects the 5 principles that differentiate normal groups from transformational groups. It is designed for you, the small group leader, to lead differently and apply these 5 principles in your group so that your small group becomes an experience that people remember the rest of their lives.
