Synopsis

In this restorative and motivating new book, former Tennessee Vietnam Veterans of America President Barry Rice shares his profound system for reaching your personal definition of success.Barry Rice spent his whole life feeling dejected by his family, friends, and his faith. His birth parents gave him up at a young age. His country called him a “baby killer” after he arrived back on U.S. soil after serving in Vietnam. To numb the pain, he immersed himself in work. Two wives divorced him because of his obsession. It wasn’t until he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in the early 90s that he finally confronted his one-dimensional relationship with God and how it had impacted the course of his life. Writing from personal experience, Barry takes you on an expedition to becoming a person who catches their happiness and controls their life. In The Power and Blessings of a Sunrise, Barry walks you through the steps to change your attitude, outlook, and direction to become the person you know you are meant to be.Combining short anecdotes and real-life stories, Barry outlines and analyzes flawed thinking that impacts your response to life’s “minor inconveniences” so you can eliminate your fear of taking the wrong step and get the most out of each day.
