"This pioneering holistic work is still one of the best discussions of the spiritual havoc wrought by the 'disgodding' of nature and the split in the Western mind between facts and values."--Chip Brown, The List
"Morris Berman's book addresses what I consider to be the most important topic at our present moment in history. He is searching for the underpinnings of a new world view that can give rise to a culture capable of relating gently and self-sustainingly to the earth."--Frederick Ferré
Information for Interested Readers
"The Reenchantment of the World," originally published in 1981, proved to be the first volume in a trilogy on the evolution of human consciousness. It was followed by "Coming to Our Senses," published in 1989, which was out of print for several years and has now been reprinted by the Seattle Writers' Guild; it is now available through Amazon.com. Volume 3, "Wandering God: A Study in Nomadic Spirituality," completes the series, and will be released in 1999. More information on all of these books is available on my web site.
