Review

"This is an introductory text with a comparative focus that is highly accessible to introductory-level students . The organization makes sense with my own instincts about presenting the material. I'm able to cover all of the chapters in my course, and they take up the full semester, . I like the author's stance on political and social issues, and the examples go along way toward clarifying the material for many of my students. The boxes are one of my favorite features--students find them very useful."
