Synopsis
Using a personal tone, the author writes a text for counsellor-educators that combines the general topics of what counsellors do and the skills that counsellors use. To achieve his goal of giving a true overview of the field, he follows the eight common-core curriculum standards of CACREP, presenting diverse, relevant counselling situations. In each chapter he also includes multicultural issues; ethical, professional and legal issues; and counsellor-in-process perspectives for counsellor self-development.
