Synopsis
A guide to every aspect of distance riding in America. Topics covered include conditioning and feeding, (with special emphasis on the careful production of a young horse), keeping a horse sound, riding a hundred-miler, and ride and tie. Karen Paulo is a highly experienced endurance rider, who has ridden more than 11,000 miles, her philosophy and technique have been proven with two separate horses which she has ridden past the 4,000 mile mark, and she has much experience in creating a durable distance horse. She is a past director of the American Endurance Ride Conference.
