The book is written for course adoption as well as for self studies: There are many examples and exercise problems that can help students and researchers/instructors alike in learning the basic computing methods related to physics and other fields. Special topics (Chapters 7 to 12) on computer simulation techniques are discussed with adequate references, which can lead the readers to current research.
