Synopsis
In this second edition of his very successful textbook, Chris Hawksley has revised the text to conform to the definition of standard Pascal specified in the international standard ISO 7185. The main changes relate to details in the diagrams used to show the structure of Pascal, but alterations to descriptions in the text have also been made. A set of answers to many of the exercises has now been added. The book remains an excellent first course for programmers of all disciplines, including the arts and social sciences.
