Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. R. R. McIan (illustrator). This is a modern reprint of a work originally published in two volumes in 1845 and 1847. Each clan is described in brief text, with a color illustration of a full-figure man in traditional dress, including the clan's tartan. While the book and dust jacket are both in one piece, both are a bit beat up. The dust jacket has numerous tears and creases along the top edge, while the rest of the dust jacket is in pretty good shape. These tears have generally been repaired with archival tape on the inside of the dust jacket, although there is one section on the back cover that has tape on the outside of the cover. The book itself had some rubbing that has resulted in some of the red cloth rubbing off all along the bottom edge and a little bit along the top edge. Similarly, a little bit of the color on the edges of the illustrated front and rear endpapers has also been scraped off. Otherwise, the book is in good shape. 9½ x 13 inches, 206 pages.
