Synopsis
CogLab gives both students and instructors the chance to participate as subjects in classic experiments of cognitive psychology. CogLab on CD-ROM gives students access to complete the experiments without an Internet connection or a web browser. The CD-ROM allows you to download a program that will let you combine and calculate class averages of data generated by their students.

About the Author
Ian Neath is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He received his Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Yale University in 1991. His research currently focuses on seeking evidence for general principles of memory that apply widely over different time scales, different tests, and different hypothetical underlying memory systems. In addition to publishing many articles on memory in peer-reviewed journals, he co-authored the Cengage textbook HUMAN MEMORY: AN INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH, DATA, AND THEORY, 2nd edition; COGLAB on a CD; and COGLAB Reader.
Synopsis
This is the new version of a lab manual/CD-ROM package presenting demonstrations of classic and current experiments and concepts from cognitive psychology, with the aim of enhancing student understanding of study design, data interpretation, and the significance of the research.
