Pel fatto della percezione esterna si esige, che un og getto stimoli un organo periferico del senso, e che a questa stimolazione succeda una relativa reazione del cervello. E pel fatto della percezione interna si esige, che un organo non periferico sia analogamente eccitato per la stimolazione onde funziona, e si che analogamente ne sia provocata la relativa eccitazione cerebrale. Anche per la riproduzione memorativa, perchè abbia luogo, si esige un fremito orga nico; si esige cioè, che si riattivi nei centri il ritmo della eccitazione impressa innanzi per causa periferica.
