Synopsis
This self-instructional text is designed to help medical students, residents, physicians and nurses acquire basic skills in 12-lead EKG analysis. There are thirty-two lessons, each illustrating a feature of the normal or abnormal 12-lead EKG, which discuss the physiologic basis for an EKG finding and its meaning in common clinical practice. The book covers the use of EKG graph paper for analysis, and describes EKG features of cardiac arrhythmias and discusses common EKG syndromes such as myocardial infarction and ventricular hypertrophy. It includes learning objectives for each unit, practice questions and reviews and extensive use of diagrams and illustrations.
