About the author AMALENDU BAGCHI is an environmental engineer for the Bureau of Solid Waste Management at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. He has 25 years of experience in engineering practice and teaching, including 15 years in landfill projects. Mr. Bagchi received his MS in geotechnical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
