This volume offers an integrated, systems-based approach to physical geography. The text's inclusion of quantitative concepts aims to appeal to past users of "Modern Physical Geography", as well as to those professors currently using or seeking to incorporate a systems-driven approach. The book's focus on systems is achieved by weaving the theme through the text and by providing "Focus on Systems" boxes with specific systems concepts and applications, including supportive systems art.
