About the Author
Richard A. Pethrick is Emeritus Burmah Professor of Physical Chemistry at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He has served on numerous Research Councils, the Department of Trade and Industry, the European Science Foundation and other committees. He is the author of a number of other books and has published numerous papers in journals.
