Synopsis
This work collects and disseminates novel information on the visualization of brain transmitters and their receptors. The techniques used include quantitive receptor autoradiography, 2-deoxyglocose (metabolic) autoradiography, immunochemistry, in-situ cDNA hybridization and positron emission tomography (known as PET). The book is the first of its kind to present the above techniques in this way, and to apply such techniques to the study of neuronal communication in such a quantitative and multifactorial framework. It will appeal to a wide range of brain imaging analysis and neuroscientists, reflecting the research results of some of the world's leading brain imaging experts.
