The main emphasis is on acquiring fundamental concepts and deriving methods from first principles and linear estimation is covered in depth. The text includes computer programs to speed lengthy calculations such as those involving multiple and partial correlation coefficients, and partial regression coefficients and their standard errors when the variables are numerous.
