Part II explores the problems and challenges of identifying meaningful applications for expert systems, for enlisting the co-operation of suitable experts, of motivating a business proposal for expert system development, and of understanding the role of the knowledge engineer. Part III offers practical advice to management with respect to orienting the organization towards the profitable implementation of expert systems, puts forward suitable guidelines for applying expert system tools, and shows how to monitor the stages of development.
