Susan Arena currently teaches general chemistry and is director of the Merit Program for Emerging Scholars at the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign. He is co–author with Morris Hein on foundations of College Chemistry, Tenth Edition, and is also co–author of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition, and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry
