Synopsis

A disturbed high-school student with authority problems kills one of his teachers and takes the rest of his class hostage. Over the course of one long, tense and unbearable hot afternoon, Charlie Decker explains what led him to this drastic sequence of events, while at the same time deconstructing the personalities of his classmates, forcing each one to justify his or her existence.

First Edition. No. W7645. First Edition, a paperback original. The first of Stephen King's novels to be written under the Richard Bachman pseudonym, a vivid first-person account of a disturbed student who commits a school shooting in Maine. King allowed "Rage" to fall out of print after several real-life school shootings in the 1980s and 1990s notably resembled the events which transpired in the novel. Very Good plus in wrappers, with a slight lean and faint reading creases to the spine, and an ink annotation (noting the letter "A") on the top right corner of the first leaf. Scarce. Holroyd, p. 522. Seller Inventory # 159203
