Hardcover, (Of special note, the previous owner of this book is Pat Shurmur who attained NFL fame as both a coach and offensive coordinator - currently with the Denver Broncos), 1957 (stated 1971 printing), Grosset & Dunlap - Big League Baseball Library, 221 pages. Good,no DJ-as issued. Illustrated yellow boards with red titles. Corners bumped and worn. Small cuff to front board which is creased in two places . sticker residue in upper outer quadrant. Back board lightly creased with mild soiling. Text block is top stained red with deckled edges. Prior owner's bookplate (*Pat Shurmur) on inside front cover. All interior pages are clean and intact, except page 44 which is dog-eared. Small chip at upper corner of last free end-paper. A great read for all sports fans and baseball historians. Tales of Joe DiMaggio's experiences from his days at the sandlot baseball diamonds into his career with the Yankees.
