Stumped choosing paint color? This is the guide for you.
My intention in writing this book was to remove the guesswork from choosing and combining paint colors in your home and to try to make the process fun.
The book features 50 Recipes, or color schemes, grouped into 7 sections, one for each color in the spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Each Recipe has a theme that invokes a special vision or mood from Moonglow to Meet me In Miami. Photographs, illustrations, narrative and inspirational quotations are meant to fire up your imagination and help you to visualize the color scheme. The exact paint color numbers from Benjamin Moore Paints, Pratt and Lambert Paints and Pittsburgh Paints are included for every Recipe. Accent and trim colors are included.
The book provides artistic inspiration and a step by step guided approach to color selection and combining for a single room or the entire home using the Recipes. It includes suggestions for tuning into color, combining color, buying paint and painting a room. It also includes many important tips on choosing paint colors and some basic color principles and theory.
The format of the book may remind you of a cookbook, because each color scheme is presented as a single Recipe. Using the book should be similar to using a cookbook. Browse through it, pick it up again and again for inspiration and ideas. I hope you will enjoy using the book.
