Synopsis
Computer networks are covering greater areas, providing higher bandwidths and connecting ever larger numbers of users. Conventional multi-user services such as electronic mail and computer conferencing have been in existence for over two decades. As networks and computer-mediated communication become more widespread, what new types of multi-user applications may we expect in the near future?
