About the Author

Simon Mills is the head of sustainable development for the City of London. He is a specialist in sustainable finance, climate change, environmental planning, management systems and policy development. He advises the Bridge House Trust on sustainable development issues and sits on the steering groups a number of pan London and national fora including; the London Climate Change Partnership, the Construction Industries Council Sustainable Development Committee and the London Accord Project Board. He is one of the architects of the London Principles of Sustainable Finance, which took him to the Johannesburg Earth Summit as part of the UK Delegation. Simon has worked in sustainable development for 10 years, prior to which he was involved in environmental research in Central America. He holds an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment and Masters in Public Administration.
