Synopsis

For this edition, the format of the rewritten eighth edition has been retained. There is an introductory chapter on the methods of the history taking and examination, and a second, setting out, on a problem-orientated basis, the differential diagnosis of the commoner symptoms presented by a patient to the general practitioner. Changes in the text reflect developments in ophthalmology in the five years since the last edition.
