This manual has been written for all surgeons and ophthalmologists who operate on eyelids. Its purpose is to present a systematic approach to eyelid surgery and to simply the choice of operation. Flow-charts are used which allow the reader to see at a glance which is the most appropriate procedure for any given set of circumstances. Each operation is described under the section headings "principle", "indications" and "method". A large number of simple line drawings have been included to make the text as clear as possible. Alternative operations are omitted in the interests of brevity, but references and further reading lists are included at the end of each chapter. This edition has a new chapter on lacrimal surgery by R.A.N. Welham FRCS, Consultant Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Institute of Ophthalmology, Uinversity of London, and Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.

-Immensely useful to all of those surgeons engaged in eyelid surgery. The text is succinct and usually well illustrated. The book is robust and easily transported, thereby fulfilling the requirements of 'a manual'. It is still good value and should be owned by every plastic surgeon.-British Journal of Plastic Surgery, April 2000
